Masuo Recycling Intermediate Processing Facility

It is one of the largest industrial waste treatment facilities even in the metropolitan area.

The factory is located in Asaka City, Saitama Prefecture, and has good access from Tokyo, where a large amount of target waste is generated (about a 20-minute drive from Itabashi Ward). With a site area of 10,000 m² and a processing capacity of 100 tons per hour (approximately 300,000 tons annually), it is one of the largest industrial waste treatment facilities in the metropolitan area. Under the permission of Saitama Prefecture, the industrial waste accepted at this factory is broadly categorized into (1) concrete waste, (2) asphalt waste, and (3) slag (foundry sand), primarily brought in by construction companies, road companies, and foundries. Additionally, we also have a permit for industrial waste collection and transportation, and as a waste collection and transportation company, we carry out transportation operations such as bringing waste from the waste generation site to our facility, transporting recycled base materials to construction sites, and transporting recycled graded materials to partner road companies.

In 2013, Mogami Clean Center Co., Ltd. obtained certification from the Ministry of the Environment for the harmless treatment of asbestos-containing waste. Until now, we have been conducting melting and harmless treatment of waste asbestos (sprayed asbestos) at existing facilities, but from the fiscal year 2013, we began harmless treatment of asbestos-containing waste at our certified treatment facility (Furnace No. 3). By integrating the melting furnace and feeding equipment, we achieved high-efficiency melting and harmless treatment by pre-treating (crushing) asbestos-containing waste before melting. Since the factory mainly produces shampoo, body soap, and sunscreen (UV), the wastewater contains a high concentration of normal hexane extractable substances. By using electric ions generated to adsorb impurities, we separate emulsified fats from the wastewater and form flocks (aggregates). By removing these from the wastewater, we can discharge the treated water into the sewer system. The washing wastewater generated during processes such as painting in the manufacturing of construction machinery contains a large amount of heavy metals and phosphorus, which is why this facility employs a coagulation sedimentation treatment method. To efficiently treat the heavy metals and phosphorus contained in the wastewater, lime and coagulants are added to the reaction tank to effectively generate coagulation flocs. Additionally, by adjusting the pH, the generated coagulation flocs are allowed to grow larger, and then, through a sedimentation tank, the flocs are settled by gravity, achieving good solid-liquid separation. The clear supernatant water is discharged as treated water, while the settled sludge is removed from the system in the dewatering process. [Case Study] Kimchi Manufacturing Factory - Oil and Fat Decomposition Wastewater Treatment Facility

We would like to introduce a case where we provided design, construction, and consulting services for a fat decomposition wastewater treatment facility at a kimchi manufacturing plant. In this facility, we adopted a fat decomposition system as a pretreatment for biological treatment, which is unsuitable for high concentrations of fats. This system breaks down fats into a form that is easier for biological treatment. For the biological treatment, we employed a contact aeration method that generates less excess sludge and is easier to maintain. In conventional treatment technologies, fats are difficult to decompose and can negatively affect microorganisms, making pretreatment of fats essential through methods such as grease traps and coagulation pressure flotation devices. [Case Study] Pig Farm Wastewater Treatment - Batch Reactor Type Wastewater Treatment Facility

We would like to introduce a case where we provided design, construction, and consulting services for a batch reactor type wastewater treatment facility for pig farms' manure and urine treatment. The manure and urine discharged by pigs raised on the farm result in high-concentration wastewater, so we have adopted a natural purification method reactor system for undiluted treatment. This system artificially creates the process by which organic matter turns into soil (self-purification in swamps and lakes) within the reactor tower of the treatment tank and applies it to the treatment of organic wastewater. At the cosmetics manufacturing plant for shampoo, body soap, and sunscreen (UV), we switched from the coagulation sedimentation method to the electrolysis method, reducing sludge volume by 70-80%!

We would like to introduce a case study of the design, construction, and consulting for an electrochemical treatment wastewater treatment facility at a cosmetics factory. Since the factory mainly manufactures shampoo, body soap, and sunscreen (UV), the wastewater contains a high concentration of normal hexane extractable substances. By using electric ions generated to adsorb impurities, we can separate emulsified fats from the wastewater and form flocs (aggregates). By removing these from the wastewater, we can discharge the treated water into the sewer system.
